A hundred thousand welcomes (ceud mìle fàilte) to Invercharron Highland Games!
Traditionally the final games of the year, many of the Scottish Highland Games Association league results are decided at Invercharron, making it one of the most exciting of the season. Heavy events, piping competitions, Highland dancing, track and field, hill and children’s races, tug o’ war and cycling all feature in this fun-packed day, with a variety of stalls and amusements. There is something for everyone, a real traditional family day out.
The programme for 2017 is not available as yet but here is the 2016 programme which details the same sporting events as will happen in 2017. Programme for 2016 Chieftain's Parade moved to 1200 with earlier start time for some events - please check
We are also delighted to announce the New Highland League for the Heavy Athletes was so successful in 2016 that it will be continued in 2017. Twelve of the Highland area games will participate and the League Finals and championship will be decided at the Invercharron Games. This will really enhance our heavy events and bring more athletes to compete so come along and support it. For the coming 3 years Invercharron will also play host to the National Finals of the 110 stone Tug O War so make sure you don't miss this epic battle.
Set in the uniquely beautiful Kyle of Sutherland, the Invercharron Highland Games makes a wonderful place to visit whether you are a local, national or international visitor. In 2016 we were pleased to welcome visitors from over 24 countries and we look forward to welcoming more in 2017.
